Schule im Berg
Every summer, the woodlands of Yokozawa turn into a vast campus that hosts the open college event “Schule im Berg”. Experts from various fields conduct symposiums and workshops on a diverse range of topics such as art, handcrafts, and nature watching.
“Schule im Berg” (School in the mountains) is a summer school hosted by nonprofit organization Art Biotop in cooperation with Niki Club that offers visitors a moment to sit amidst the serene forests and hills of Yokozawa—where an artistic spirit has long existed—to ponder and share their thoughts on the art of living. This year’s event was held July 29-31 and featured a diverse program including symposiums discussing art and aesthetics and hands-on craft workshops.
