One destination. Two unique styles.
Niki Club offers two different styles of stay for you to choose from. You may pick an auberge-style experience, leisurely enjoying cuisine made from fresh, seasonal ingredients. Or you may opt for a more modern spa experience, letting nature refresh your mind and body. Whichever style you decide on, both offer a chance to revisit the luxury of living simply but well, and to rediscover yourself amidst the serenity of nature.

Niki Club started in 1986, with 6 guestrooms nestled within nearly 34 acres of woodlands. It was one of the first auberge-style resorts to open in Japan, offering a combination of simple aesthetic pleasures and world-class cuisine. The resort’s striking architecture, boldly incorporating traditional Japanese building materials such as igneous Oya stone and Japanese red pine, was widely discussed in the design field.
Outside the guestroom building is an immense pebble pond designed to create an atmosphere of stillness and serenity by reflecting the soothing scenery of Nasu. The water level is kept at a constant depth of 5 cm so that raindrops falling from the eaves of the building’s sloped roof produce particularly elegant ripples as they land on the pond.
A product of both Nasu’s natural beauty and Niki Club founder Hitomi Kitayama’s unwavering vision, these Western-Japanese combination rooms exemplify the original concept underlying Niki Club, which remains inspired and contemporary to this day.
